Q; WHAT IS CONSIDERED A "STANDARD" IN AN ASSET HOME & WHAT IS AN "UPGRADE"?
A; One benefit to building with Asset Builders Corp. is that many of the things we install in our homes are considered "upgrades" with other builders. We customize each home from concept to move-in with the features and specifications requested by each owner. We will make suggestions and provide each buyer with options from the latest in ideas and technology.
Q; CAN YOU SUPPLY A LIST OF REFERENCES THAT I CAN CONTACT?
A; Absolutely, at your request we will provide you with a list of homeowner references. In fact, we encourage prospective clients to contact several of our homeowners for feedback on their personal experiences with us. We pride ourselves on our quality craftsmanship, our attention to detail and building personal relationships during the construction process, which we maintain through warranty and beyond.
Q; WHAT IS THE COST PER SQ. FT. OF AN ASSET HOME?
A; This is the most commonly asked question and the most difficult to accurately answer. Until we have the opportunity to meet with you and determine the scope of the project, no builder could give you an accurate answer. Many factors effect your cost per square foot, such as the cost associated with the amenities you choose, the community requirements, the topography of your lot, the size of a possible garage. We take the time up front to get to know you and understand your lifestyle. With this in mind and the budgetary goals identified, we walk you through the process and deliver a fixed price sheet that identifies all the components of cost associated with your home.
Q; HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO GET A QUOTE ON A NEW HOME?
A; Asset builders Corp. will meet, consult and quote your home free of charge with no strings attached. Our competative quote will include detailed specifications that outline the materials and methods to be used to construct your home. There is nothing to lose by having Asset builders Corp. bid your project. In fact, you gain peace of mind that you have researched and found the best builder for you.
Q; IS IT MORE EXPENSIVE TO BUILD A CUSTOM HOME OR BUY A USED HOME?
A; It is not necessarily more expensive to build a custom home. First of all, you control the amount of money spent and how it is allocated which allows you to build a home that meets your needs and specifications. Another thing to consider is your utility expenses. One benefit to building with Asset Builders Corp. is that we think green. We build our homes to be as energy efficient as possible by using energy star appliances, high R-value insulation, double pane vinyl windows, and much more. See our standards list. This means big savings in your homes operating costs. Most of our homeowners that have moved from smaller to larger homes have seen significantly lower energy bills in their Asset Builders home. Most importantly, consider that building a home is usually the largest purchase you will make and thus your biggest investment. Why settle for a house when you could build your dream home.
Q; HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO BUILD MY HOME?
A; Because each custom home is unique, there is no way to tell exactly how long it will take to build. However, as a general rule, it typically takes about 4-6 months from the time we break ground. Factors such as bad weather and the number or complexity of change orders made during construction can prolong the construction time.
Q; CAN I MAKE CHANGES DURING CONSTRUCTION?
A; Yes. The process of making modifications during construcion is called a "change order". This is the nature of true custom building. The change order is written up and must be approved by the homeowner. If there is a cost involved the customer is responsible to pay this item before the work is performed.
